Good audio means a more accurate transcript and letter.
Microphone
- Use a good external microphone or headset if you can.
- Place the microphone between you and the patient, about an arm's length away.
- Watch the moving wave - if it's flat, Arvi can't hear you.
The room
- Close doors and windows, and turn off fans or music.
- Avoid rustling papers or typing near the microphone.
While you speak
- Speak clearly at a normal pace. Avoid talking over each other.
- Use Pause for breaks instead of stopping.
- Say important details clearly (medication names, doses, dates).
Your device
- Use Chrome for the most reliable recording.
- You can minimise Arvi or turn off the screen while recording. Don't refresh or close the tab.
- Very short recordings with no speech can't be processed.
Always tell the patient you are recording and get their consent.
