What is Global Dictate and when to use it
A quick way to dictate a letter from any page, using one key.

Global Dictate lets you dictate a short letter from anywhere in Arvi, without opening a recorder. Hold a key, speak, let go, choose the patient - and Arvi turns it into a Dictation letter for you.
Use Global Dictate for
- Quick notes or short letters, for example after a phone call.
- Dictating while you're busy on another page.
Use Quick Record or Start Recording for
- Full consultations with the patient in the room or on a telehealth call.
- When you want a specific letter type, such as Initial Consultation or Referral.
Good to know
- Global Dictate needs a keyboard, so it works on a computer, not a phone.
- It's on by default. Doctors and Super Admins can use it; Admins can't.
- It uses your transcription tokens, the same as other recordings.
